OUR MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRAM kicked off in the fall of 2017!

We did a soft launch of this program at Summer Camp 2017 setting the tone for this upcoming year. There our students were asked, “what is your dream?” Dreaming is how we founded A House on Beekman. It is also the first step in breaking cycles of poverty. Our students must be able to envision a future for themselves that has previously been unavailable to their community. Our new middle school program, dreamBronx, has accepted the task of seeing those dreams through to fruition. Our approach has three key initiatives: Fellowship (consisting of a robust, tiered-mentoring program, extracurricular programming, and expeditions), Scholarship (holistic academic program that includes targeted tutorials, social-emotional development, and career exploration), and Service (using students' academic knowledge and skills to address genuine community needs).
